Courseware Description

This courseware provides AutoCAD® 2007 software users a thorough understanding of the new and enhanced features offered in the AutoCAD® 2008 product. Students learn how to significantly improve 2D drafting productivity by using the new 2D Drafting and Annotations workspace, Dashboard and CUI. Also, they learn how to increase productivity with the new drawing annotation functionality including annotation scales, Multi-leaders, and dimensioning enhancements. Also covered are enhancements to how table data can be created from Excel spreadsheets, including linked data to Excel and Comma Delimited files. Hands-on exercises throughout the courseware explore how to create 2D production drawings. The exercises are provided in both a printed format as well as an onscreen format that can be viewed next to AutoCAD.

Objectives

The primary objective of this courseware is to bring students up to speed with AutoCAD 2008 enhancements.

This courseware is designed for the current AutoCAD user who is upgrading to AutoCAD 2008 from the previous release.

It is recommended that students have a working knowledge of:
